See The Light

In photography, light is everything. Come along with me as I capture SIX different types of light. Join me virtually in 50 minutes of video footage as I show you and then talk you through how I approach a scene, find the light, and harness to produce incredible images of everyday priceless moments.

You’ll go behind the scenes during different times of day with me and learn how lens choice and light work together as I shoot during a sunny hour and of course golden as well as see how I use pocket light and open shade at a session.  Then I will bring you indoors into my own home as I show you have I capture harsh indoor light as well as utilizing east and west facing windows as well as my favorite garage light and even magical low light at a carnival!

Explore with the light with me through shooting videos, pullbacks, and light diagrams. You’ll see exactly how I position my subject and myself relative to the light to create final images!.

Includes:

  • A 29 page PDF full of beautiful photographs, lighting diagrams and pullbacks and camera settings.
  • 50 mintues of shooting and breakdown videos
  • Bonus EDITING video as I edit one of the images from my session in LR and PS!

What People Are Saying:

KEVIN – December 29, 2020 Of all of her courses (and I have all of them), this one was one of the most eye opening and inspiring for me. Light is so important, and to have it explained so easily and clearly, along with her in the field shooting videos, everyone can benefit from this course. If you don’t own this already, but it now!

LIBBY G. – June 13, 2020 This guide is so perfect in explaining multiple different lighting scenarios and how Shalonda sees the light. It is so important to understand light and know how to get your images right in camera. Shalonda breaks down multiple scenarios and explains how to see the light and get your images right from the start.

MELISSA HAKES – June 12, 2020 This class was wonderful to see several different lighting scenarios and how Shalonda shoots with the different lighting available. It’s a must have!
